That's the name of my new profile pic. I took this on the table of one of my favorite places for brunch. It's a small Japanese-run French bakery/cafe just south of Union Square in NYC. Simone and I love this place, beginning with it's french toast (made with baguettes) with fresh-whipped cream all the way down to their delicious sandwich specials (also on baguettes) with either cream of corn or leek soup! Set in a wooden-barn-styled narrow building with a large pane-glass window upstairs, it's the right cozy place for brunch for two. So, if you're in the city...
Some of my favorite people at church — Church...where do I start. I think I've been disillusioned greatly of late. Well, circa last couple of years. I don't know what happened. For years, it seems, Sym424 had warned me to beware the black-hole that was youth ministry. Once you've been sucked in, you never leave, and you just about almost disappear to the rest of the church. With great sadness (or, should it be), I realized recently that one of my (if not the only) reason for attending my church was the Common Ground Drama Team. At a recent table read (for the theater-challenged, that's when the actors for a sketch gather together to read through the script), they are:

Dan The Script Joyce

Spencer Pat Andrew & Dan

Joyce & Jeannie Vincent Wey

Andrew & Vincent Andrew, Ryan, Vincent & Spencer Jeannie Missing from the photos (click to enlarge) are Becky (who's been back and forth from Rutgers, but still helps us out a great deal), Mike (who's also away to college, but who has been a founding member and major part of the group) and Dave Teng, founder and undeniably still the leader of this group. In the last 3 years, I have seen them all grow in their own way. In all the craziness that teenagers go through these days—and I'm sure Christian teens are no different—I can truly feel blessed with how much fire God has put into these kids' lives. When it is time to leave this church, I shall miss them greatly.

Just wait and see.
hey we ate there when philly sisters come up to visit you guys...
great food and ambience!
... yes... you get hooked rt away... i too served in yg ministry for three years... there's just a different sense of awe-inspiring...revering JOY of knowing that GOD within His infinite wisdom would choose to use finite man... to be His literal hands to mold the impressional tender years of these youth... i too miss them much...LORD knows i do... think this was where i learned what it means to have faith bigger than myself... some say if you can do yg ministry... you prb can do all other ministries.!!
it's CraAzee when you realize that your once freshmen sisters will be joining the young ADULT group this summer!! ~aye...
haha tony, ahhh you love us! =] We love you all the same. No matter how much we screw around with you and how much they mess around in drama prax... we as a whole are very much encouraged by your leadership.
I'm very much blessed by the lil' things you do, from the prayers at offering time to being the servant chauffer to the small lil xanga posts i read and emails i get. =] Thank you Tony... we will miss you DEARLY when you leave... but hopefully it won't be soon.
Then again, God's will, not ours.
